DLT (Dynamic Load Test) with acquisition of the Torque – RPM measurement without mechanical brakes on AC Motors (and Brushless)

Through a sensor connected to the shaft of the motor, this option enables the acquisition of:

  • Torque/Current/Power Vs RPM with the possibility to set control limits for various points of the graphics.
  • Oscillations of Torque and RPM Vs angle turn, at nominal speed. These measurements identify the causes that produce vibration in the motors in test.
  • Run-down time. Measures the time that the motor takes to cover a programmable number of turns from the moment the power supply is removed. It identifies mechanical friction.
  • Torque/Current/Power Vs Torque/Current/Power of a Master Motor. It ispossible to save an acquisition as Master and to compare the following tests against this MASTER acquisition.

This test finds defects which cause a reduction of start-up torque and nominal torque of 5%-10% or more. There is an excellent correlation of the DLT test results compare to the test results acquired by a brake.

This test is mainly for AC motors but there is also a special version - available on request - that allows the acquisition of the values indicated above in similar mode also on Brushless Motors.
