The passive eddy current brakes are suitable for testing AC-DC motors of medium – high power from 2KW to 50KW with speeds from 100 to 4.000 RPM.
The main characteristics of these brakes are:
- Suitable for medium – high power motors
- Good power dissipation characteristic
- The residual torque is less than 1% of the maximum torque
These brakes can be associated to different types of e.d.c. systems (ATC, TC2, TAC, AMT, PAE, ATS, ...) and are proposed on the base of the range of motors to be tested and on the tests that the Customer wants to perform.
